** Every second week Anchor 5.11 will be held at Kangaroo Point stairs. Travel from Anchor at 6:45pm or meet there at 7:15pm. Stair dates for 2019 are: Jul 17, Jul 31, Aug 21, Sep 4, Sep 18, Oct 2, Oct 16, Oct 30, Nov 13, Nov 27, Dec 11.

Short and intense like a powerful god, this session combines cardio intervals with superset strength training to create an explosive workout. Stride with majesty as you develop your metabolic conditioning.
You enter the arena prepared for an epic upper-body focused class battling kettle bells, dead balls, suspension and body weight training. Although we slow down the pace, a fierce and lengthy duel ensues as we focus on form and increase strength.
Just like the predator’s namesake you find yourself building a physique for speed and muscular endurance though lower-body strength development. Most active at dawn and dusk, our Jackals hunt in small packs squatting, lunging, jumping and crawling. This is your territory!
This rigorous training will challenge you physically and mentally as you bend, crawl, carry, climb and hang. You will move your body how it has evolved to move over millennia with the sporadic inclusion of obstacles, such as the rope climb, monkey bars or peg board.
Come in and complete your own circuit! Our “open gym hour” is available Monday-Friday, 5-6pm, and Saturday 6-7am to our dedicated, current members. A certified coach is required to be present in the gym during this time, and any obstacle-work must be approved & supervised.
Welcome to Anchor’s newest class addition – Weight Vest Wednesday is here! Elevate your training to the next level with 30mins of non-stop weighted exercises, sprints, rows, rope climbs and stair runs. BYO weight vest or back pack (minimum 5kg) and you’re not allowed to take it off for the entire duration of the class (or be prepared to suffer the consequences!). Anchor 5.11 will rotate between Anchor HQ and the Kangaroo Point stairs for some added fun/hurt.
